His exceptional overall score of 129.88 (#1 in dressage; #2 in jumping) included 9, 9.5, 9 in jumping and a rare perfect 10 for his character and willingness. No gaits lower than 8.5. Contiano's sire Contefino (Contender-Corofino) also won his licensing year with a 10 in jumping, stood for the famous Stall Hell in Holstein, and showed internationally(1.60m) for Italian Omar Bonomelli. Contiano's mother, the elite Westfalian mare Lucille descends from two states premium mares offering the great Hanoverian dressage producer Der Clou as well as both Landgraf and Pilot.
